Tullow claims bribery allegations are plot to undermine its business but by who?

The company at the center of bribery claims says they have been the result of consistent attempts to undermine and discredit its standing and assets in Uganda. The claims are in a letter to the Speaker of the House ( see below). We suggested as much in our previous post here. The most plausible explanation of the back and forth is commercial competition. If it is within this context that alleged bribery is happening then its unlikely to end soon. All eyes will be on how institutional oversight is framed after the Parliamentary inquiry and the passing of oil sector laws. Here is Tullow’s letter to the Speaker of the House, Rt Hon Rebecca Kadaga in response to those claims.
